AIM is available from 25A to 400A (over 1000A paralleled) in voltage
ratings from 208V to 600V. Ratings given are ‘harmonic cancellation
current’. AIM fully complies with ECC Directive 89/336/EEC.
AIM is available for 3 phase systems and for 3 phase, 4 wire distribution
systems (i.e. to mitigate unbalanced non-linear loads with high neutral
current returns).
AIM is available as a fully enclosed unit or as a chassis unit,
for fitting into an MCC or switchboard.
AIM compensates from 2nd to 51st harmonic. Response time ~ 100 micro-seconds,
especially suitable for dynamic loads.
AIM provides 'Global harmonic compensation' in contrast to some
active filters where the harmonic compensation has be specified and
programmed.
AIM is simple to connect. Only three phases and two current transformers
(3Wire AIM’s) to connect and can be retrofitted with ease to
existing loads.
AIM Filters have reliability, MTBF 10.8 years.
The AIM filter is not effected by changes in system impedance and
is inherently non-resonating.
The AIM filter can mitigate individual or multiple non-linear loads
and can be installed at equipment, motor control centre, or switchboard
level.
